Update: 6/5/24. Another excellent and satisfying contact with this business - again in a crisis. In the midst of a morning downpour in Sydney the kitchen sink was "popping" loudly, and when I washed my hands over the bathroom hand-basin, no water would drain. The rain stopped, but I felt reasonably sure that another (forecast) rain shower would mean house flooding.Again my call was taken by a real person receptionist of the business who could not have been be more understanding, flexible and helpful. The plumber was at my property urgently at a promised time. Conducting an investigation and immediate mitigation, identified a Sydney Water street sewer line blockage. He logged the job with Sydney Water, made sure I was secure, talked me through every finding and step taken, and charged a modest fee (when I think I would have paid anything!)I want to make a point of what was dealt with so well. The street sewer blockage and imminent flooding involved a shared sewer line and pit with my neighbouring semi, and the sewer lines on the properties and (stormwater lines) had been relined. The relining company had an entitlement (through warranty conditions) to work on the lines, but couldn't get here until much later today. The plumber negotiated and explained his need to take urgent mitigation action with my neighbour and the relining company to their satisfaction (and within warranty conditions of the latter).Top class and recommended without reservation.Original review 2 years ago: In the midst of downpours in Sydney, I came home one evening to find a shallow pool of water in a third of my kitchen with no apparent tracking to a sink, a drain, the bathroom, a roof leak or an outside door. After mopping up, and the floor remaining dry overnight, the water returned the following day.I then tried two of my "regular" plumbers who could not even put me on their books for a visit for over a week to (just) investigate. I decided to give Optimised Plumbing Services a first try, and I am glad I did.They had a polite and friendly (real) person to take my call not just " leave a message". My problem and my anxiety received a careful hearing, and a service was offered that day or the next as I felt necessary. I chose the next day having mopped up again and with small sandbags in place.Arrival in relation to the booked time was given and updated. They were punctual. The plumber, Mick, was friendly and helpful, most welcome in my home, and efficient in identification of likely cause; and he addressed it (leaf material - never before - in a downpipe). He did a little job in the bathroom, which I indicated I would need to get around to when we were in there investigating the cause of the water on the kitchen floor - and included it in this one call out (fee). I thought the fee very reasonable, and a senior's card discount, in a clearly itemised receipt.So, three "regular" plumbers; and a real happy find in a diffcult time.

Just want to say thank you to Mick for being so quick in coming out after a major water leak left a large pool of water in our dining area. He was thorough in detecting that it was a concealed leak and organised to have a leak detecting specialist come out within 24 hours to pinpoint exactly where it was coming from. As promised, Wally came out the next morning and located the problem, which turned out to be a leaking hot water pipe that was between the spare room wall and en-suite shower. Measures were taken so we could still use our cold water taps to wash up and flush our toilets. Wally advised that Mick would contact me again to arrange a time for the following day to have the pipe fixed. Again as promised, Mick organised for Ethan to come out the following morning. The completed work looked so good, it was better 👍than what the builder had done when my house was under construction 9 years ago. From the night I called, obviously distressed and concerned, to having the leak assessed and fixed, everything was done within 2-3 days. This company obviously takes pride in providing customers with a quick response, fantastic completed work, reliable, polite and good old fashioned service. Thank you also to the receptionist who answered, you were kind, wonderful and provided me with advice as you no doubt could hear the worrying and concerned tone in my voice. Excellent service from Optimised Plumbing Services, the customer service agent that booked the job for us was very professional and outlined the costs very clearly . She was able to fit the job in urgently as it was a blocked and overflowing kitchen sink. Mick arrived and was not only knowledgeable but explained each step he was taking and why. Very impressed with the handling of this job. Damaged sewer pipe that had unexpected issues with the original layout of the system. Mick came in the afternoon and cleared the original blockage. He found a bigger problem (broken pipe) and quoted. John came the next day (to save time) and cut a concrete slab that was 'over' the issue. Ethan came the next day at 8am and completely removed the offending piping (90+cm down in clay) fixed it all up and cleaned up by 12 noon. Very pleased with result.

Called Optimised Plumbing for an emergency plumbing problem.Josiah called me within minutes to tell me his time of arrival.On arrival he inspected the site/problem with me, explained it and then started work on it, Josiah's problem solving skills were excellent. Major work was carried out over a two day period.His professional skills were excellent this included arriving on time,communication and of course completing the job as well leaving the site clean and tidy.I would highly recommend Josiah and Optimised Plumbing. We recently had a major plumbing issue with our property waste trap, which we believed was caused by blockages in our waste pipes.After reviewing online plumbing services in the Mosman/Neutral Bay/Double Bay/Cremorne area we contacted Optomised Plumbing Service, who recognised the urgency of the matter and arranged for one of their senior plumbers (Lachlan) to be on site in less than two hours.Lachlan quickly identified the blockage was in the property’s waste trap. He cleared the blockage but identified several large tree roots had damaged the trap and it needed to be replaced.While on site he drafted a detailed job description of work required to replace the trap, as well as a detailed quote, with a warranty on all works.Later that afternoon we phoned Optomised Plumbing and asked the work be done, ideally within the next two days.Optomised Plumbing contacted us within an hour to say staff would be on site the next morning to start the work.The plumbers (Ethan, Eric and Jasar) were very professional and regularly briefed me on the work being done. The end result was a new, enhanced waste trap at a realistic price with a 25- year warranty, as well as relaying the lawn turf – all done in 2 days.I highly recommend Optomised Plumbing if you require professional plumbing services in or outside your household.

WHAT IS CARBON MONOXIDE?

Carbon monoxide poisoning can be a serious threat within Australian households and commercial spaces which use gas-powered appliances and systems. The good news however is that it can be easily prevented by having proper ventilation installed and a properly fueled heater.
